Itinerary 14 days from Casablanca Morocco Tour
Your adventure begins in Casablanca, Morocco’s modern commercial capital. Upon arrival, we greet you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel. Depending on your arrival time, you can visit the majestic Hassan II Mosque, one of the largest in the world, standing proudly on the Atlantic coast. Enjoy a relaxing evening and prepare for the journey ahead.
After breakfast, travel to Rabat, the capital of Morocco. Explore the Royal Palace, the Hassan Tower, and the Kasbah of the Udayas. Then head north through the green hills to reach the enchanting Chefchaouen, the famous Blue City tucked into the Rif Mountains. Wander its peaceful blue-washed streets and soak in the relaxed atmosphere.
Spend the day discovering the charm of Chefchaouen. Visit the medina, filled with handicraft shops, art galleries, and traditional cafés. Hike to the Spanish Mosque for panoramic views of the blue town and surrounding mountains. This day offers time to unwind, take photos, and connect with the rhythm of local life.
Leave Chefchaouen for the ancient Roman ruins of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its stunning mosaics and impressive remains. Continue to the imperial city of Meknes, once home to the powerful Sultan Moulay Ismail. Explore Bab Mansour, Lahdim Square, and the royal granaries before arriving in Fes, Morocco’s cultural and spiritual capital.
Today is a deep dive into the wonders of Fes el-Bali, the medieval old city. With a local guide, explore the Al Quaraouiyine Mosque, the oldest university in the world, visit tanneries, medersas, artisan quarters, and the Royal Palace. Fes is a maze of tradition, history, and vibrant craftsmanship that captivates the senses.
Travel south through the scenic Middle Atlas Mountains. Stop in Ifrane, often called “the Switzerland of Morocco,” and in Azrou to see the cedar forests and Barbary macaques. Continue through Midelt and descend into the desert landscape of the Ziz Valley, arriving in Merzouga, the gateway to the Sahara. Overnight near the dunes.
Explore the Erg Chebbi dunes with a 4x4 visit to nomad families, fossil sites, and local villages like Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music. In the afternoon, ride camels across the towering dunes into the heart of the desert. Watch the sunset and enjoy a magical night in a luxury desert camp, with traditional music and stargazing.
After a desert sunrise and breakfast, travel through Rissani, the birthplace of Morocco’s Alaouite dynasty, and explore its traditional market. Continue to the spectacular Todgha Gorges, where massive canyon walls rise above a crystal-clear river. After lunch, head into the Dades Valley, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by dramatic rock formations and lush oases.
Spend a second day in Dades Gorges to truly experience this hidden gem. Enjoy a scenic hike or a 4x4 ride through the valley’s winding roads and Berber villages. Visit the rock formations known as “Monkey Fingers” and meet local families who still live in cave dwellings. This day offers a perfect balance of nature, culture, and relaxation.
Continue your journey through the Valley of Roses, famous for its fragrant rose products, especially in spring. Stop in Skoura, known for its palm groves and the beautiful Kasbah Amridil. Arrive in Ouarzazate, known as the “Hollywood of Morocco,” where you can visit the Atlas Film Studios or the historic Kasbah Taourirt.
Drive to the iconic Aït Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco’s most photogenic ksars. Explore the ancient mud-brick village, then follow the scenic Telouet route through the Ounila Valley. Visit the crumbling Kasbah of Telouet, once home to the powerful El Glaoui family. Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass and arrive in Marrakech.
Spend the day exploring the vibrant city of Marrakech with a professional guide. Visit the Majorelle Garden, the Koutoubia Mosque, the Saadian Tombs, and the intricate Bahia Palace. Wander through the medina, souks, and finish your day in the lively Jemaa el-Fnaa Square, where snake charmers, food stalls, and musicians bring the city to life.
Enjoy a relaxed day with the option of a full-day excursion to the charming coastal city of Essaouira. Explore its whitewashed medina, seafood market, Skala fortress, and art galleries, or take a walk along the beach. If you prefer to stay in Marrakech, enjoy shopping, hammams, or a cooking class. Return to Marrakech in the evening.
After breakfast, we’ll transfer you to Casablanca Airport in time for your flight. Along the way, reflect on your journey — from Sahara dunes to blue cities, mountain trails, and ancient medinas.
