Overnight in a traditional riad in Fes
Leave Fes and journey through the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing the alpine town of Ifrane and the cedar forests of Azrou, home to wild monkeys. Continue via Midelt toward the golden sands of Merzouga. Ride a camel into the dunes and watch the sunset before a magical night in the desert.
Overnight in a luxury desert camp
After breakfast in the desert, drive to Rissani, where Morocco’s traditional desert market still thrives. Continue to the spectacular Todra Gorges, a canyon of sheer rock walls rising 300 meters high. By evening, reach the peaceful Dades Valley, known for its dramatic rock formations and kasbahs.
Overnight in a charming guesthouse in Dades Gorges
Spend a relaxing day exploring the beauty of the Dades Gorges. Hike to the Monkey Fingers rock formations, meet local Berber families, or simply enjoy the stillness of the valley. This is your time to unwind and connect with Morocco’s mountain spirit.
Second night in the Dades Gorges
Leave Dades behind and head toward Ouarzazate, Morocco’s Hollywood. Stop at the legendary Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a UNESCO treasure and film location for Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Cross the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260m) in the High Atlas Mountains and descend into colorful Marrakech.
Overnight in a riad in Marrakech
